AUDIO/VIDEO: This time around I played the dvd on my HDTV for a more accurate, and current presentation critique. The film, from the main menu forward looked excellent, and functioned as it should with the exception of some slightly grainy screens that were no doubt caused by the camera that was being used in the shoot. Both the scenes, and the menus were displayed in a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio that in no way took away from the intended viewing experience. The lighting therein was stunning, and up to par with films by Dorcel's more noteworthy directors. AUDIO/VIDEO: I ended up playing this dvd on my 20 inch tube television for the nostalgia feel, and strangely I got the same mismatched menu screen that I've talked about before. I figure Dorcel has started gearing the films towards an HDTV viewing, and has forsaken the old full screen tube television format. If that's the case then it's not really an issue as mostly everyone who owns a television has upgraded to an HDTV at this point. The good news in regards to this worrisome news is that once the film starts (and it does so automatically) it plays out perfectly on a tube television.

In a last ditch attempt to secure the support of other contributing studios I posted an article recently which I was hoping you guys would share. An article seeking screeners from studios for a certain trade opportunity. It's basically a trade proposition I concocted myself, one which was rather creative. I had proposed to offer up porn ideas to studios in exchange for some screeners. It would have been a win-win situation for the studios as they'd get new ideas, and reviews as well. Unfortunately a significant time has passed since then, and I haven't heard a word from anyone. Not a soul. It could be, because studios are worried about my lengthy review absences, or it could be that no one gives a damn. Either way the proposal seems to have fallen flat on it's face.

This blog has been dragging some serious ass as of late. I'm not going to lie, or deny it. Having one studio to turn to, and a lengthy wait between requests has limited the review material I'm able to obtain. I'm not playing down upon Dorcel's generous contribution, because the fact is I love the hell out of that studio, but I've been longing to cover some other studios' films on the side as well. Just recently, yesterday in fact, I thought up an ingenious plan to win some of you uncertain porn studios over. As a journalist, and creative writer/poet/artist I do have some ideas up my figurative sleeve that might help you to make the next biggest porno production, or genre.
